Abstract
The character of the Iliadic Thersites doesn’t seem apt to the ancient drama. The evidences of his presence on the scene are very few and fragmentary. On the contrary, the modern theatre, starting with Shakespeare, has introduced Thersites as a significant witness of the war and its dramas. The aim of this paper is to analyze the different Thersites on the modern scene.
Il personaggio iliadico di Tersite non sembra adatto al teatro antico. Le testimonianze della sua presenza sulla scena sono poche e frammentarie. Al contrario, il teatro moderno, a partire da Shakespeare, ha introdotto Tersite come testimone significativo della guerra e dei suoi drammi. Scopo del presente articolo è di analizzare i diversi Tersite della scena moderna.
