Abstract
Il cosiddetto Lamento per un gallo è da leggersi come una struttura ingegnosa semplice dove quasi ogni parola presenta un duplice significato. Attraverso gestualità e voce, il performer poteva rendere chiaro molto facilmente che l’argomento era cinedico. È inoltre possibile che l’amico citato nel testo, Trifone, fosse uno stock character di alcuni mimi cinedici.
The so-called Lament for a cock is to be explained as an ingenuous system where almost every word presents a double meaning. By means of gestures and voice, the performer could make clear very easily that the argument was cynaedic. It is also possible that a friendnamed in the poem, Tryphon, was a stock character of such cynaedic mimes.
