Abstract
The modern scholars often emended the text of Eur. El. 581-84. This paper aims to go deeper into the analysis of the imagery and syntax of these lines, and particularly of 582. Orestes’ utterance seems to be so evocative and emphatic that an aposiopesis is actually plausible at the end of 582.
Il testo di Eur. El. 581-84 è stato spesso corretto dagli editori moderni. Questo contributo intende approfondire l’analisi dell’immaginario e della sintassi del passo in questione, e in particolare del v. 582. Le parole di Oreste appaiono così evocative ed enfatiche da rendere possibile l’ipotesi di individuare un’aposiopesi alla fine del v. 582.
